Fix VMware unrecoverable Error of OS X Virtual Machine
After installing OS X 10.11, while starting the virtual machine, if you see the error right above then you’ll have to follow the steps below.
1. Go to File Explorer and navigate to the OS X virtual machine VMware files and right click on the VMware virtual machine (VMX) file and open it with notepad.
2. Now scroll down to the end and type the following command and press Ctrl+S to save it.
smc.version = “0”
3. When saved, restart your computer and then open VMware and start power on the virtual machine, and hurry its working fine.
Problem not solved? Try entering the command in the notepad like below and restart your computer then power on the virtual machine in VMware.
smc.version = 0
